Watershed

Retail Store

NG1 5LT

For this project, I proposed a design for Watershed Brand in a Nottingham site located on Goldmsith Street, NG1 5LT. Upon researching the reasons why the high street is dying out, I found stores need to be more sociable. The consumer’s experience in-store needs to be less about buying and selling and more about an environment that is fun to be in and hospitable. Therefore, one of my proposed concepts for the new store is to offer yoga classes in store. This would create a very sociable environment within the store whilst also promoting the products. Yoga classes can be conducted using Watershed’s products and classes can be booked by the wide demographic the brand has and who lives in Nottingham. Furthermore, the yoga classes will allow people who are students, living away from the coast, to keep their cor strength and practice whilst they are not able to surf. As well as this, these yoga sessions would allow individuals who live in Nottingham, to practice and build up theeir skills before visiting the coast

Moreover, another new concept for Watershed would be to add QR shopping to their new store. This would involve adding a QR code to all pieces in store. The consumers would then use their phones to scan the code of all products they wish to purchase, further allowing themto pick a size and colour. Items bought can be shipped straight to the consumer, which is much more efficient for larger items, such as surfboards.
